Have Ss enjoy a piece of music and then show them some pictures with brief introduction. After that show Ss the picture of Howard Carter with detailed information.

Ask Ss to read the text quickly to find out the answers to the Qs.

(3)   Careful reading

Go through the text part by part or exactly speaking paragraph by paragraph.

3.      Consolidation

Some T/F Qs, multiple choices, fill in the blanks and retell the text.

三、教学反思

 

(一)自我反思下的透视

第一、课前反思

      先是利用铃声前的时间播放贝多芬的音乐,让学生以较放松的心情上好这节课。接着是展现几幅图片以引入课文,另外图片也会让学生积极性高涨。然后快速阅读,让学生找出四个问题的答案,答案找出后文章的大意基本就出来了。接下来进度课文采用一段一段的处理,设置不同形式的问题,重点让学生掌握文章的内容。最后是巩固练习,对错题、选择、填空和复述,而且是由易到难的梯度来巩固本节课所学内容。

第二、课后反思

在上完课及仔细研究了课堂录像后,我发现在这节课中存在不少问题。

1.探究味不足,学生主体地位未能突现

新课程教育理念要求学生从被动的接受知识转变为知识的主动探究者,知识构建的主体。而这一节课的实际情况仍表现为传统的教学模式,依然是教师为主体。整节课下来,师生对话虽多,但都处于简单层面上。而生生对话几乎未出现,应设置一些稍有难度的问题,使学生同桌间通过讨论得出答案。也未能为学生创造较好的课堂气氛,学生显然没能放得开,看到听课教师,学生还是有所顾忌。授课过程中未设置一些促进学生高级思维,能力培养和高尚品格建立方面的问题,所有问题均未跳出课文。如在巩固练习后可以设置一个这样的问题:你认为探险家应该具备什么样的性格?让学生分组讨论,或让学生角色扮演,一个是 Howard Carter 的秘书,一个是记者,然后提问这样的一些问题:1) What kind of person do you think Howard Carter is? Why? 2) To be a qualified explorer, what kind of personality do you think he/she should have? 3) Do you think the personality of Howard Carter has had a positive effect on his discoveries? 4) As for students, what sorts of personalities does a student have to possess? 5) Compared with the amazing persons such as Mother Teresa, Bill Gates, Beethoven, Zhang Heng, do you think Howard Carter is as great as them? 使他们轻松且不知不觉又积极主动地就参与到课堂中来,真正体现学生的主体地位。

2.没有很好的地整合现代教学技术,板书设计不够到位。

这一节课上下来,我发现自己对课件的依赖性太大,对于一些重要内容仅仅是口头解释给学生。利用多媒体,尤其是PPT,可以快速将重要信息呈现在学生眼前。然而软件自身的特点决定了课件上的一些重要信息不可长时间停留在学生面前。这时应将重要的词语、文章的要点等板书下来,为接下去的巩固环节提供帮助,也可让学生明确这些就是本节课的重点,进而予以足够重视。

3.作业布置安排不够合理

上面提到探究味不足,学生的探究在作业布置里也可以体现出来,无论是口头或是笔头的作业。而不应该仍仅限于书本上提供的只对文章本身的一些巩固的练习。我在这一节课后布置的作业依然没能跳出课本,还只是停留对文章内容的理解上。如让学生写一篇关于探险家霍华德卡特的文章甚至其他Amazing People的文章似乎更好,使学生站在更高的高度把握文章,又提高了他们的作文能力。

(二)同伴互助下的透视

王云华(英语学科市学科带头人,本校教科室主任):首先是刘锋老师能根据学科的特点,培养和训练学生的学习方法和思维能力。在学生预习的基础上将整篇课文一气呵成的呈现在学生面前,快速阅读的四个问题的答案就把文章大意体现出来,然后是精读课文,这样处理利于学生思维连续性的培养。其次是教学环节紧扣,循序渐进,符合学生的思维规律,当堂巩固练习形式多样。

但同时刘锋这节课也存在一些不足之处:一是新课程背景下的学生自主、合作、探究的新课程理念没能体现。二是包括刚刚老师自己提到的没有设计深层次问题,没能促进学习高级思维,高尚品德的建立。问题设计应该仔细考虑,学生回答不出也好,回答的出更好,但是要设置这样一些能促进能力的问题。三是虽然课件使用地较好但没有板书设计,右面的黑板应充分利用起来,比如写些生词、文章的要点等。四是学生的课堂反应不够理想,好像感觉有老师在听课,有些拘束。五是作业的布置没有深入推敲,应做进一步的精心的挑选,如口头或笔头的。

王亚萍(同组教师):刘锋老师这一节课,节奏紧凑,衔接自然,学生的能力得到了提高。但过程中老师应注意发掘学生的学习潜能,采用多样话的教学形式,使学生能更好地融入到学习英语的环境中。

张丽亚(高二英语备课组长):刘锋老师这一节课的教学过程流畅,问题的设计多样、充实,综合运用了听、说、读等形式加深了学生对课文的整体理解。不过应运用多种教学方式,使教学效果更优化。

吴凤珠(同组教师):本节课老师的教学设计符合教学目标,刘锋老师的基本功扎实。但要课上要注意师生的双边活动形式应多样化,不能完全依赖电脑,板书也可呈现课堂要点,另外课堂容量可以增多些。

(三)领导专家引领下的透视(根据相关专家的现场点评整理)

陶振环(市教科室领导):我喜欢把开课老师称为“志愿者”,因为他开了课主要就是让人家来提意见,让别人挑毛病。所以开课老师是很有勇气的。

范金国(外校教研室主任):首先是老师的基本功较扎实,口语流利。其次是老师这节课的流程设计的较好,要点明确。尤其是在上课铃声响之前播放音乐利于学生将注意力很好地转移过来以及把中文的思维及时地转变过来,回到英语课上来,同时也不至于让学生听到铃声感到比较紧张。我对这一点非常欣赏,恰到好处(在谈到这个地方时,范主任指出当课件上的重要信息不好停留在学生面前时,应将其板书下来,让学生对课文整体的把握时,为学生提供信息的支持)。但是我们教科室和教研室不同,教研室主要是从关注的是学生成绩的角度评价一节课,一节课上完后,教研室发一张试卷,看学生的考试成绩,考地好就说明这节课上地不错。而教科室是从教课研的角度来评价一节课,就是要看这节课怎样上才可以上地更好。

所以我也有几个问题要与刘老师来探讨一下:

1.刘老师你不要怕学生不开口,主要是你没有让学生开口,你应该要为学生提供创造机会。在学生读课文的时候,最好将与课文有关的图片呈现出来,甚至一些与课文有关的短片播放出来。让学生有一种情感的培养,使他们很快的融入教学情境中,甚至让他们忘记有其他老师在听课,课堂气氛定有很大好转。接下来只用简单的一般疑问句提问,而且答案在文中可一眼看出来的,然后再用简单的特殊问句提问,答案也只是文中的一些原句。这样提问的目的是针对中等或中下等学生,使大多数学生都会。最后在设置些难度更高的一些针对中上等学生的问题,有了前面的铺垫,会使学生积极性高涨,课堂气氛就更活跃了。为接下来的小组活动,小组讨论做准备,使学生进入了深层次的思考阶段。这样可以各个层次的学生都兼顾到。

2.我觉得在快速阅读结束后,文章的精读部分不应继续停留在文章内容上,而应该从语法、词汇以及感情色彩的角度上去处理。去讲解文中涉及的语法点和情感的介入,如文中用到的词汇,若替换成另外的词汇会不会失去了原有的感情色彩,所以要让学生体会出这种感情色彩,对所学的内容要投入情感。

3.录像看到现在,我还没有看到小组讨论,探究未能很好地体现。整节课上师生对话较多,或者说是提问较多,往往是一个问题对应一个答案,在提问某一学生时可以将这个问题延伸下去,形成师生间的一些小对话,特别是对学生的兴趣培养上是比较有好处的,而且使他以后上英语课时会非常积极。而生生对话较少。还有就是当课堂上探究受到局限时,老师不妨可以把它放在课后设置,如作业的布置上,让学生找与课文相关的,最好是英语的文章,还可提高学生的阅读能力。我自己在上课时上下两个半节课都会给学生讨论的时间,分别3-5分钟。因为学生20分钟左右停下来,比较疲劳,所以这样的讨论实际上是让学生休息,也活跃了学生的思维,进而就更好地参与到课堂上来了。

韩建光(市中特级老师):我是从物理老师这一旁观者的身份来看这一课。我有意识的总结了一下,刚刚各位老师的评价都没有离开这四个维度:教师,学生,媒体,资源。所以在评价一节课时主要是看这四个要素摆放的位置是否合适,以及这四个维度间的联系。

首先从教师的角度上,我感觉老师的基本功很好,发音很动听,口语也很流畅,具备了把一节课上好的基本条件,教师的专业成长有了基础。

其次就是教学环节的安排上,使用了多媒体的技术。我现在是跳出这节课来谈论这个问题。就是说老师在用多媒体的时候,要想用来做什么,是为了呈现信息还是要和学生互动或是代替板书,是老师讲到某个地方需要用课件还是课件播放到哪儿老师就讲到哪儿,这里面需要老师来全面考虑,把资源整合好。

另外刚刚有老师谈到了新课程的一些理念,我觉得我们现在的老师处在一个很尴尬的位置。我把现在的课堂理解成两种:一种是专家设计出的比较理想的课,里面要有一些合作的东西、互动和探究的味道;另外一种是不讲理念完全看分数,不讲究教学技术,教学方法的课。我们现在要选择一条中间的路,尽量接受专家提出的理念,让这些理念在自己的教学行为上有所体现,然后在最大化的提高学生的成绩。

陶振环(市教科室领导):我觉得现在教育基本上分为三种:一是应试教育。在这种教育下,学生需要应付各种考试,当然这种教育不利于学生的成长。二是应世教育。使学生适应社会,而这种教育有这很强的功利性目的。三是应性教育。张扬学生的个性,使学生的个性得到最大程度的发展。但是在适当的情况下,我们应尽可能地考虑应性教育,毕竟应试教育不是教育发展的方向。我觉得老师这节课基本上属于应试教育的范畴,应付考试的味道更浓一些,包括在上这节课前的教学备课、思想观念及教学组织上考虑较多的还是考试问题。当然我不表示反对,但最好应该多考虑应性教学。

作为一名教师,要想获得发展,必须完善一些能力。接下来我想从教师的成长方面提出几个需要完善的能力:

1.自我完善能力。其中又包括对教材的开拓创新能力(我觉得自己对教材把握还不够,也没有适当地加以拓展延伸);自我反思能力;教科研能力和自学能力。

2.职业能力。一是教学的评价能力,对他人的评价和对自己的评价;二是教育技术能力,虽然说刘老师这节课也用了多媒体,但形式还是比较单一;三是调控管理能力。我去上过小学的课,小学生一点都不好管,所以我喜欢上高中的课。这节课上你表现出调控管理能力是比较简单的,应该让学生更活跃些,把他们都调动起来,全部参与进课堂教学;四是教学设计能力。

3.基础能力。其中包括语言表达能力;思维能力;跟学生的交往能力,这里面又包含亲和力、影响力、感染力、和应变力;正确处理好人际关系的能力;信息技术能力和审美能力。

那么最后,借本次评课的机会我想对大家(英语备课组老师)提出几点要求:第一、希望备课组内的老师可以相互协商,真诚合作,彼此间多提建议,像如果我上这节课的话,我会怎样怎样上之类的就比较好。第二、你们要在理论的指导下多反思教学实践,多看相关资料,与自己的教学行为进行比较。第三、希望大家能多探讨教科研问题。第四、希望你们要勤动笔多写写案例。
